Wharf of Purple Royal Bend / Ziyu Wan

A royal wharf in ancient China, the Wharf of Purple Bamboo Bend is inside the Park of Purple Bamboo Courtyard. Today, by the bank of the bend still stand this ONLY royal wharf and imperial temporary dwelling palaces. In Qing Dynasty, Empress Dowager Cixi once started off from here to Summer Palace to avoid the summer heat by mini steam-engine train.
